Bridging software explained
Bridging software connects records you already keep to HMRC’s update. Full software keeps the records itself. This site has not hands-on tested either type.
Key takeaways
- A bridge is not the same product as a full digital record.
- Not yet hands-on tested.
- Compatibility is the HMRC list, not this page.
Two types
GOV.UK distinguishes software that keeps digital records from software that bridges records kept in another place. Both still have to be compatible. This page does not name a bridging product, because none has been tested here.
